As someone who grew up in Long Island’s Nassau County I thought I would give you a few reasons why one would want to live there……
Nassau County is located on Long Island, just east of New York City. It is known for its proximity to Manhattan, diverse communities, excellent school districts, and its proximity to beaches and recreational activities.
Why move to Nassau County? Two very good reasons are location and accessibility: Nassau County benefits from its prime location, offering easy access to Manhattan and other parts of New York City through public transportation and major highways. If you work in Manhattan there is nothing like having access to the Long Island Railroad (LIRR) which provides convenient transportation to Manhattan, making it ideal for commuters.
Second reason to live in Long Island is the Housing Market: The housing market in Nassau County has historically been competitive, with demand often outweighing supply, especially for well-maintained properties in desirable neighborhoods. The county offers a variety of housing options, including single-family homes, townhouses, and condos catering to a diverse range of buyers.
Third reason are the school districts: Nassau County is well-regarded for its strong school districts. The quality of education can be a significant factor for families of school-age children making Nassau County an appealing option for families seeking a quality education for their children.
Fourth reason are its diverse neighborhoods: Nassau County boasts a wide range of neighborhoods, each with its own unique charm and amenities. From historic villages with a small-town feel to more urbanized areas with bustling downtowns, buyers have plenty of choices to match their lifestyle preferences.
Fifth reason and probably my favorite reason are the beaches: Nassau County’s coastal location provides access to beautiful beaches along the Atlantic Ocean. In fact, there are so many towns that have incredible homes that are right on the water.
Overall, Nassau County provides a mix of urban and suburban amenities, with everything from shopping centers, restaurants, parks and lots of recreational facilities available throughout the area making it the ideal place to live with your family.
